Viewers of the faith-based telenovela Umkhokha: The Curse took to social media this week to lambast the show for replacing Kwezi Ndlovu with Kwanele Mthethwa for the role of Nubuntu.
A fan of the show @tsheko2020 tweeted: ” I cannot pretend anymore; I miss the old Nobuntu.”
Viewers of the Mzansi Magic telenovela predicted in November that Mthethwa took over Ndlovu’s character as she’s gone on maternity leave.
Fakaza reported that Nlovu announced she’s pregnant with her first child by revealing her baby bump photos on social media.
“While on holiday in Mauritius, the actress showed off her baby bump and revealed that the baby will arrive in 2024,” reported the publication.@Sayinile8: “She is so boring shame old Nobuntu would have really enjoyed her date with her crush Ndoda.”
@PelozaTyali: “The current Nobuntu wish she had he own character and not replace the previous one. She’s a good actor but she can’t master to convince us on this role hence we are used to the old Nobuntu.”
@mdlulws: “I think we loved the old Nobuntu so much, gal just needs to tap into her emotions, and she’ll be fine.”
@maleteaz: “Me too n with that part she answered the phone I didn’t like it, if it was the real Nobuntu she was gonna blush.”
@AGlossylips: “She can’t even blush or be crushing like da old Nobuntu.. seems like she forgot about her crush.”
@maleteaz: “Dankie, she really spoiled that part ya his brother’s friend.”
