She might have been a villain on screen but in real life, Nolwazi Shange-Ngubeni wears her heart on her sleeve. She finds joy in being at home with her kids and having home-cooked meals.

The actress is a household name and became even more so when she started playing Mbali Kubeka on e.tv’s Scandal!.

 

 

 

The character started out humble, loving, and committed to her family – viewers fell for it but later changed their minds when Mbali couldn’t keep up the act anymore and revealed her true colours.

Her reasons for leaving the Scandal drama is very valid, I think even if it was me I would have done the same thing. Looking at the role that she was playing, it is true that at times it gets exhausting to a point that you even fall out of touch with your fans, they are fans that will always think about what you are doing as your true character. They cannot separate the difference between the real person and the character that you are playing. So it was necessary for her to be able to quit while things are still nice, she exited at the right time. Sometimes you want to act being a nice person, not always being that nasty, so she has decided where that character has to end. I think it teaches something about life that, “bad people don’t last, that’s the lesson.
