Yet again UKHOZI FM moderator Bheka “Beekay” Mchunu needed to enjoy some time off from introducing his show, Sigiya Ngengoma, on Saturday 10 December.

This after he lost his voice during the show, compelling the station to play vast adverts.

Conventional healers, Thulani “Teacher 3 Seconds” Nkwanyana and Andile “Mzimbokhalimali” Dlamini, wound up introducing the show. They were subsequently joined by Nonhlanhla “Mroza” Buthelezi, who typically presents the Vuka Mzansi breakfast show.

Andile said: “We were welcomed as extraordinary visitors however wound up introducing the show. This was on the grounds that Beekay was not feeling great and when we were going to the studio, he was no more.”

Beekay has had medical issues since a year ago. The last occurrence was in October.

A source said: “On 8 October, he had a similar issue. He was going to go on air when he unexpectedly turned out to be sick. At that point, he was unable to try and go in real time. It appeared as though he was under a strong spell.

 

“I don’t know whether he was raced to medical clinic or back home, however one of his associates drove him out of the SABC studios. We would rather not guess on his wellbeing, however the executives and his partners are stressed over him.”

Everyday Sun attempted to get remark from Beekay, however he didn’t answer his telephone or answer messages.

SABC representative, Gugu Ntuli, affirmed that Mroza assumed control over Beekay’s show.
