Ukhozi FM Presenter Did The Unthinkable By Praising Khuzani’s New Album While At SABC Studios

People are expressing their displeasure at the action of Khozi FM presenter Zimiphi or nicknamed Biyela for praising Khuzani’s new album.

Zim Dollar recorded a video in which she appeared with Khuzani’s new album. She was heard telling people to get a copy so they can hear the amazing album. In this video it looks like he is in the studio of Khozi FM where he broadcasts a maskandi program and music sung by Khuzani.

Many people on social media were heard saying this is a very unfortunate act as it would as of she was unfair to other Maskandi artists especially Igcokama Elisha who also released his album on the same day as Khuzani. Besides that as a station presenter for most Maskandi music, she is supposed to treat artists equally. The manager of the station has even received calls asking him what is his take on Zim dollar action.

This is a top complaint because Maskandi music is very competitive music and almost all artists want to play on Khoi FM. They also found himself replying angrily to a fan on Facebook after he was accused of being biased on Khuzani and he was even suspended. Perhaps the problem with Zimdollar’s action is that he recorded the video in the uKhozi FM studio and it may have seemed like an idea or sent by the channel to do it. Broadcasters are just praising the songs on the air after playing them if they like them there has never been a problem. She was seen recording a video of other artists and showed that she was a music lover before becoming a broadcaster.

What we need to understand is that broadcasters come to the set of songs that are played on their programs so no matter how much they love music but they do not have the power to just pull the songs and play them because this is what they love about him. Perhaps the only thing they have in common is to negotiate with the producer that a particular artist should call him on the show and discuss a particular topic with him. This is all up to the station managers as to how they will handle the situation. It may have come up as a complaint or Sent to be biased but it does not seem to be a big problem.
