Legends in radio broadcasting will finally get their flowers as they will be honoured for their role in the music industry.
Although it is such a good thing to honour a person while they are alive so they will see that they are appreciated for their work, however even if they are no more but the honour will mean their work still lives.
Two names, Tshatha and Bhodloza, when they are spoken about, you remember the contribution they had on maskandi music on Ukhozi FM.
Finally, Khathide Ngobe and Welcome ‘Bhodloza’ Nzimande will be honoured for that in a musical event, Impucuzeko Maskandi festival that will be held at Moses Mabhida Stadium on July 30.
The news were confirmed by the organiser of this annual festival, Xolani Mcineka, who said they decided to honour these two legends for their efforts in uplifting maskandi music.
He revealed that they wanted to honour Bhodloza in 2020, unfortunately he passed on.
Mcineka also stated that honouring Tshatha does not have anything to do with his relationship regarding Impucuzeko but they are doing it based on his contributions.
