Over the past few months, there have been videos that have been posted on social media exposing fake products that are being sold in some shops owned by foreigners. A lot of people have even stopped buying things from shops owned by foreigners, and we can’t blame them because some of these foreigners do not even have the proper documentation that allows them to open shops and sell to people in South Africa. So, that’s why we’re always being warned about buying from foreign-owned local shops in our townships and villages.
Speaking of foreign-owned shops selling fake products, there is a video that has been getting quite a lot of attention because of two men who decided to take a video of what they found in a shop owned by a foreigner.
In the video, the men were recording and they stumbled upon a Coca-Cola cold drink that looked a little bit off compared to the others. The Coca-Cola bottle that they were talking about, was slightly less compared to the other cooldrinks that were in the fridge. The men could be heard asking the owner of the store if he makes his cold drinks, and he just laughed it off.
Some people in the comments were saying that mistakes happen, and this is a mistake that most likely happened at the factory than at the shop. Some people just don’t care as one person had this to say, “Why should we be cautious? We already know what they’re doing. It’s time for them to close shop and go.”.
