Twitter guy tells DJ Zinhle that he bought 2 fat cakes for R89.99 in Dubai after this happened

With how the world we live in continues to rise in its economy, it raises a lot of questions in one’s mind such as; in the next 10-20 years to come will we be able to afford bread? Will we be able to afford to buy electricity and pay house bills? Will we be able to generally afford basic needs? The expensive fancy houses and cars that we are working hard for, will we be able to ultimately buy them?

Everything has grown to be very expensive in the era that we live in. Food is expensive, clothes are expensive, electricity is also expensive and so many other things.

After DJ Zinhle caused a stir on Twitter that she and her boyfriend paid an amount of R700 for two burgers, two fries and two orange juices, people started commenting their thoughts on the matter on her post. As some said they would never spend so much money on the above mentioned items, some shared their relatable experience.

A man by the name Youngod Mafohlo was one amongst those who commented on DJ Zinhle’s tweet. He advised DJ Zinhle to look out for those women who sell fat cakes(amagwinya) in the streets. Youngod reveals that in Dubai fat cakes are the only reasonable foods which he paid R89.99 the last time he was there. He is indirectly and jokingly advising DJ Zinhle to buy them to avoid spending so much coins on food as she enjoys her stay in Dubai. A lady commented that she would rather pretend like she is fasting than to pay such a large amount for fat cakes. She is saying this because here in South Africa we buy one fat cake for only R2 and you can get two for only R4 instead of the R89.99 that is paid in Dubai. The main reason behind the whole of this situation is because of the difference is currencies between the two places. In South Africa we use RANDS and in Dubai they use United Arab Emirates Dirham.
