The TS Galaxy attacker was injured during a Carling Knockout Cup Last 16 match between Mamelodi Sundowns and TS Galaxy.He was involved in a nasty challenge with Mamelodi Sundowns star Bongani Zungu. Against the injury, he was admitted and had a successful surgery.
After being discharged, it was confirmed that the star would be out of play for months. However, little is known about the exact months the 37-year-old star will be out of play.Speaking to the media, the TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi made it known that the club had to ensure that the star gets the best medical assistance.
He has it that they “went for the top range” specialist. No doubt his sentiments left many trying to connect the dots about Benard Parker’s surgery bill.
TS Galaxy chairman made it known that they forked more than R200 000 to foot Bernard Parker’s medical bills. The Chairman said, “When something like this happens, you need to be sure as a club that you’re good to incur all these medical expenses. They’re not cheap, of course.”
“It’s in excess of R200, 000. You have to do it immediately because the situation is urgent.”Confirmed reports have it that Bongani Zungu reached out to Parker through a text message in the backdrop of the incident.
