Top ANC Comrade Gets Married On Heritage Day – See Pictures

With the beautiful sunny weather adorn­ing South Africa on Her­itage Day, some saw the day as the ideal time to cel­e­brate in a variety of ways, one of which was tying the knot with your number one true love.


 

 

 

 

Wedding bells rang out in Se­shego when ANC member Joseph Boy Mam­abolo and his bride exchanged wedding vows in his hometown. The wedding did not receive as much press, but it was fully booked.

While Mam­abolo was say­ing his vows, President Cyril Ramaphosa was cel­e­brat­ing her­itage day under the theme “The Year of Char­lotte Max­eke: Cel­e­brat­ing South Africa’s In­tan­gi­ble Cul­tural Her­itage,” and Jo­han­nes­burg Mayor Jolidee Ma­tongo was laid to rest after sur­pass­ing

As the local mu­nic­i­pal elec­tions date approaches, all eyes are on the ANC. Curiosity abounds as to what the party will do next and what stunts its members will pull to win votes. Mam­abolo’s wedding appeared to be beautifully el­e­gant and stylish yet in­ti­mate at the same time, according to images circulating on social media, with his wife dressed in a fully beaded mer­maid flair wed­ding gown, accompanied with a smile.

Part two of the wedding is expected to take place today; the wedding was lavishly decorated with top-of-the-line cars and opulent catering, as expected. Mamabolo is from Seshego’s Masakeng. He and the current head of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Julius Malema, grew up in the same neighborhood and joined the same organizations.

Both were members of the African National Congress Youth League and the Congress of South African Students. When Malema was the organization’s national president, he was the COSAS provincial secretary. During their time in the ANCYL, their friendship came to an end. Mamabolo was a supporter of former ANC President Jacob Zuma, whilst Malema was a detractor of Zuma.

Mamabolo came in second on the ANC’s regional ticket for the general election in May 2019. He was elected to the House of Commons during the election. He is a member of the Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture as well as the Standing Committee on the Auditor-General as of June 2019.
