Lucia Cooper Comes back after almost a decade Tonight on Scandal. She is the adoptive mother of Dintle’s biological daughter Motshabi. After Motshabi revealed who she is Dintle has been struggling to accept it. She did not believe that Motshabi can turn into the unruly girl she saw after fourteen years.

 
Dintle became pregnant at an early age. Because she came from a disadvantaged family and couldn’t take care of a baby by then. She then gave her up for adoption to Tino and Erin Martin’s.

Giving her up for adoption was a good thing back then because she was adopted by a carrying couple. The couple struggled to have their own child. So Dintle saw an opportunity to give her child the best life ever to a financially and emotionally stable couple. Dintle was just shocked that Motshabi could just be all over the streets because she knows that she followed the right adoption procedure when she gave her to them. If she abandoned her that would be something else but her case is way different.
