Three suspects arrested over Thandeka Mdeliswa’s death. Last Thursday the nation was shocked and saddened by the death of lkani actress Thandeka Mdeliswa who plays the role of Khanye Hlophe on the show. The actress was shot outside her Evander home and she succumbed to the bullet wound.

Brigadier Leonard Hlathi said on the day of her untimely death Mdeliswa had some noise of disagreement between her brother and two other men. “She then went out to investigate the problem, whereupon getting closer, one of the men snatched a firearm from his friend and shot her,” said Hlathi.

After shooting the men the two men ex the scene. Even though police and medical team were quickly summoned Mdleliswa passed away on Saturday 5 September. The police began looking for the suspects ever since then fortunately they managed to arrest 3 suspects in connection with Mdleliswa’s shooting.

The three suspects which were apprehended are aged 24, 27 and 29 and they are going to be charged with murder as well as unlawful possession of a firearm. Let Gen Mondli Zuma who is the provincial police commioner of Mpumalanga applauded officials for the quick apprehension of the suspects.
“We are glad that the suspects have been arrested, including the alleged murderer.We also believe that at least the arrest will bring comfort to the family as they will be able to find closure on the matter.
“It is my pleasure to also commend the good work done by both teams in the apprehension of the suspects,” said Zuma. The three suspects are set to appear in the Evander Magistrates court on Monday.
