People have been urging Ramaphosa to retire from politics and take some time off because of his advanced age; they believe that he is unable to cope with the stress that comes with being in political office at this point in his life. Today was a momentous occasion for President Cyril Ramaphosa, as he was chosen to serve a second term as President of the African National Congress (ANC). Ramaphosa emerged triumphant, despite the fact that the outcomes weren’t really clear. There were a lot of people who didn’t think he’d make it to a second term, but to everyone’s surprise, he won with a very large number of votes.
You could tell by looking at his face over the past week that these votes are giving him sleepless nights; he did not appear to be in the least bit cheerful, and it was clear that he is under a lot of pressure. After all of that, Ramaphosa was seen leaving NASREC today while being balanced by an ally; rumors suggest he couldn’t balance himself since he had a panic attack due to the results of the vote. On the photograph, he was shown to be moving very slowly while leaning on two individuals who were with him at the time. Look at the picture below here:
This picture was shot in the final few seconds before the results of the vote were made public. It appears that he was under an excessive amount of stress over the votes, and as a result, he ended up suffering a panic attack; little did he realize that he would wind up winning. After the photo was shared on social media, a lot of people didn’t even feel sorry for him; they said he’s greedy and that he should step aside and give other people an opportunity to take the reins of leadership.
