Dr. Mmerika Ntshani, better known as Dr. Pashy, claimed that Thabo Bester, a convicted murderer and rapist, and Dr. Nandipha Magudumana, a former star medical colleague, conned her out of millions of dollars.

Dr. Pashy claimed in an interview with SABC News that she was allegedly drawn into Bester’s web by the promise of collaborating with US media tycoon Oprah.

 

 

 

One of the various aliases Thabo Bester allegedly used was TK Nkwana, which is how Magudumana supposedly introduced him to Dr. Pashy.

Bester claimed to be TK Nkwana, a South African businessman with a US base, when he called Dr. Pashy. As a member of the team that organized Oprah Winfrey’s visit to South Africa for the Global Citizens, he claimed to have good contacts with people like her.

A fraud action has been filed by the doctor against Bester and Magudumana. She claims they stole millions of rand from her, but she was unable to give an exact figure because the case was still being looked into. She said that Bester and Magudumana reportedly took advantage of other doctors.

“I’m still talking to the attorneys about the criminal charge. I filed a criminal complaint, and we are currently working on the civil case to try to recover the funds”.

When Magudumana and Bester were detained in Tanzania in April, two of Dr. Pashy’s passports were discovered in their hands.
