Dawn Thandeka King, also known as Mangcobo on SABC1’s most popular soapie, Uzalo has called it quits from the show cast.
Rumour has it that this follows disputes she had with the management.
Entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela also confirmed the developments saying that the seasoned actress was now relocating back to Johannesburg after calling it quits.<

Earlier last month, the actress had been glaringly absent from most Uzalo episodes.
Rumour spread that she had quit the show only for her to make a comeback mid-December.
This time around, Zoom South Africa has confirmed the actress will not be getting back on Uzalo as she is now headed for Johannesburg.

It is also not clear if she and her fiance, Mlungisi Duncan who played Nongoloza on the same show will both be leaving.
Mangcobo had been one key player on Uzalo’s storyline. She has been with the show since its inception back in 2015.
Late last year there were reports that Uzalo had been put on notice by SABC1 and were told to come up with creative storylines or face being cancelled, following months of “boring” content and declining viewership.
As part of this uncertainty over the show’s life on SABC1 and disputes with the top management, Mangcobo quits Uzalo and will be heading to Jo’burg to start on a new project yet to be announced, sources claim
