This Is How I Want To Be Remembered, Don’t Remember Me ” – Kuli Roberts Before Her Demise

Described as cheeky, scared of nobody, Kuli Roberts was one of South Africa’s favourite household names, who spoke and everyone listened. She loved to joke around, laughed genuinely at the craziest jokes but still maintained her professionalism. This is one of the reasons why all her fans are shattered at the sad news of her passing.

She went as far as fighting against bullying against people with albinism, stood against Gender-Based Violence, and was not afraid to say what was in her mind. A very strong opinionated woman with the zeal to love, entertain and be there for all those who are unable to fight for themselves.

She was not afraid of being different and went bald when she felt like it, wore whatever she liked, and did not care much about what people would say. In not so many words, Kuli had a great influence on many people, and they loved her.

To celebrate her life, Mzansi has referred back to her interview on Podcast And Chill With MacG, where the host asked her how she wants to be remembered. In a firm voice, she responded that she does not want to be remembered, but wants people to protect and love each other, and not to look down on Black people. She advised wealthy people not to flaunt their riches, but to be considerate to poor people who have no food and live in shacks. “It is not impressive”, she said.

Apart from that, she asked her fans to fight for the rights of people living with albinism, members of the LGBTQ community, and those that are bullied. To sum it all up, she asked her fans to be the voice for the voiceless.

Her sudden passing has left the country devastated. Her family has confirmed the news on Kaya FM but has asked for privacy as they are dealing with her demise and will release a statement as soon as they can.

Rest in peace, queen!
