” They are both gone let them rest” new opened investigation on Anele Tembe death.

AKA’s dead rapper fiancee Anele “Nelli” Tembe’s death is becoming the subject of a new investigation.

This is the result of additional requests made by her family to the NPA, according to Sunday World. The Tembes are certain that suicide was not the cause of their daughter’s untimely demise.

Anele, the daughter of Durban businessman Moses Tembe, died in April 2021 after falling from the 10th story of the Pepperclub Hotel on Loop Street in Cape Town. She was apparently with Kiernan Forbes, real name AKA AKA Forbes. AKA, who was shot dead in February of this year in Durban in what is thought to be a hit, is thought by many (including her family) to have pushed her.

According to a source quoted in Sunday World, Lynn and Tony Forbes, the parents of AKA, were told of the reinvestigation last week. It’s unclear, though, whether their late son is the main suspect.

Anele’s family reportedly wrote an explosive letter to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in June of last year after Nicolette Bell, the director of public prosecution in the Western Cape, informed them that she would not pursue prosecution against AKA after making a “informed decision” based on a “extensive investigation” that included “several expert opinions and forensic reports.” The opening of the investigation is said to be the result of this.
