This is according to the report presented by state witness Glad Mhlanga in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday, 9 October.

During the pre-judgment hearing of Orlando Pirate player Thembinkosi Lorch, it was reported that the assault incident made her lose confidence and miss many great opportunities.

 

 

Mhlanga told the court that this incident has caused Fundiswa Nokuphiwa Mathithibala to have setbacks.

He said after the incident, Nokuphiwa lost her hair and couldn’t grow natural hair anymore.

“The victim has suffered a lot after their incident. This has made her anti-social and always be indoors,” he said.

Mhlanga said Nokuphiwa has even forgiven Lorch so that she could be able to move on.

“The victim said she has been taking medication to cope and sleep at night. This has caused her to lose confidence and not perform well at work,” he said.

Mhlanga said that the victim was also lucky to have received support from her manager.

He said the victim has suffered emotional abuse and always has flashbacks.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Nokuphiwa said she was taking it one day at a time.

She said it is not easy for her but learnt to accept that this has happened.

“Everything is okay now, as there are no other options. The only option I have is to move forward,” Nokuphiwa said.

She said she had suffered a lot as people called her names on social media platforms.

“They don’t know what they were talking about. They have described me as a bad person through this matter,” she said.
