In case you are unaware, “shipping” is a part of Big Brother culture. It simply means people observe a relationship between two people and start to love them based on their interactions with one another. It can get quite overwhelming when the pair don’t end up dating.

This isn’t the case with Mpho and Themba.

The winner of Big Brother Mzansi and the second runner up announced their relationship a while back. They remain posting one another and being loved up quite openly, it’s been very cute to observe. Their relationship seems to have spawned a new kind of fan.

 

 

 

Mphowabadimo has the Underground Gang and Themba Broly has the Ghostnation, but together they now also have “TheMpho holdings”. They decided to spoil the couple with some gifts and a chance to meet them. They posted their pictures on social media.

The gifts included a mug with an adorable picture of the lovers, a box of goodies we couldn’t see and vouchers. It contained many custom “TheMpho” items. It was clearly a well thought out process.

I think its sweet that they’re both getting so much attention and love 3 months after the show had ended. It shows that there truly is longevity in this industry when you get a proper platform.
