The Real Housewives Of Durban Returns With A Bang For Season Two

It’s about that time again for high fashion, absolute lavish spending and savvy hustling with the top notch Durban queens who are inviting us to get a glimpse of their glamorous lifestyles for the second time.

Reality TV has never been the same without the kind of content that RHOD has brought. Personally, I was left unimpressed most of the time but it’s the fact that they kept me lured in long enough to finish the whole season that has me this excited to see what the second season has in store for me. For us.

Again, I’ve watched better South African reality TV, but I give never cease to give credit where it’s due. And, in this case, I must admit that RHOD managed to set its standards high enough to secure a good spot in reality TV ratings.

Although it had been previously reported that the country’s fave, Ayanda Ncwane, will not be returning for season two, I am particularly eager to see and confirm that myself!

The rich, the classy, the sassy and the hard working housewives had a rough ending to the show. To be precise, Ayanda and Nonku’s reunion drama left so many viewers with unanswered questions. At this point, the only way to get the ratings high is through Ayanda.

Viewers want to know how she handled being taken hostage by her late husband’s baby mama, Nonku Williams. But I guess the only way myself and viewers alike can get close enough to knowing is by imagining how that part of the show went on. Sad!

In any case, Showmax has recently confirmed that the second season of the show will be hitting Mzansi streaming services next year.

“The leading African streaming service has also renewed The Real Housewives of Durban for season two, after the show broke Showmax records earlier this year. Following its success in 50 countries across Africa, The Real Housewives of Durban season one has also launched in numerous international territories,” said Showmax.

Season two of the reality show promises more drama. It’s is not to be missed (at least not by me). Stay tuned!
