In the course of the events that took place on Uzalo, MaMadlala began a relationship with a young man named Khela. Khela’s parents had disowned him, and he was in need of a safe place to live. Khela, also known as King K, took advantage of Madlala’s feelings of isolation and her desperation for affection in order to drain her financial resources. She has also been known to flirt with a variety of people, and most recently, she allowed a young and handsome Nomgaca to take complete control of her life. MaMadlala’s salary on Uzalo is between R30,000 and R45,000 each month, which she receives as compensation for her position.

On the other side, Thembsie Matu is the one who portrays the part of Sis Patty in The Queen. Family-oriented and a businesswoman at heart, Sis Patty is a co-owner of the successful eatery Kwa Patty. She is the center of all the rumors that circulate around Thembisa and serves as a link between the lower middle class and the upper class. She is now stealing the program The Queen with her passion for gossip, and she is playing her character to perfectly to the point that she is murdering it. Sis Patty is now receiving R55,000 in monthly remuneration from The Queen in exchange for her performance as a cast member on the show.
