Zandile Msutwana, who plays Vuyiswa Maake on The Queen, is set to make a return for the 6th season in August following an injury lay-off in March.
Msutwana had sustained an injury while on set and was booked off to recover at home. She was replaced by Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo, a media personality since April.
Many viewers of The Queen expressed their views, saying that Mdoda was a great replacement, but was a better presenter than she is an actress. Nonetheless, she played the part very well but of cause, she was not the ‘original’ Vuyiswa and that’s where the issue steed from.
Zandile recently took to Instagram to update her fans about her health and to thank them for their continuous support and love. She said on the post that she was fully recovered and ready to go back to work.
“It has only been a week since my return and I am still taking it all in. What I am absolutely sure about is that I’m happy,” Zandile said to TRUELOVE. She added that she missed being on set doing what she loves most.
It’s unfortunate that we now have to say goodbye to Mdoda, it was an absolute delight to watch her as an actress and not as a presenter for a change.
Viewers are looking forward to seeing Msutwana back on the screen. It, in fact, seems as though August is a little too far.
