According to the CDC only Chlamydia and Gonorrhea which are both sexually transmitted can cause infertility in women.
So since Katlego Maboe’s wife admitted that he gave her an STD that possibly causes infertility, we can be sure that it’s either 1 of the 2. But on a more positive note, the two STDs are easily preventable with antibiotics.
Symtoms in Women
– painful sexual intercourse vaginal discharge
– burning sensation during urination
pain in the lower abdomen
– inflammation of the cervix, in English language meaning bleeding between periods
How the 2 STDs can cause infertility
– Chlamydia and Gonorrhea if left untreated can spread to the uterus or fallopian tubes.
– When it gets there, it causes pelvis inflammatory disease.
– Which possibly leads to inflammation, scarring and blockage in the reproductive organs such as the fallopian tubes.
– Scarring of fallopian tubes can block the tubes preventing the eggs from travelling to the uterus
Treatment
– Since Gonorrhea and Chlamydia are both bacterial in nature, they can easily be treated with 2 antibiotics.
– One of the antibiotic is Doxycycline which is usually must be taken twice per day for a week
– Another of the 2 antibiotics is Azithromycin which is prescribed in a large single dose.
