Legacy is the brainchild of Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon from Tshedza Pictures, who brought Mzansi the award-winning The River.

Before sharing that she had joined the cast of Legacy, Kgomotso kept dropping hints on social media about being back on set before letting the cat out of the bag.
