The Ferguson’s Kings Of Joburg Is Set To Premiere On Netflix They keep on raising the bar high

 

Undoubtedly one of SA’s most accomplished and talented TV producers, The Fergusons Connie and Shona Ferguson are on a winning streak. This follows an announcement that their much-anticipated action-packed series Kings of Joburgis set to premiere on Netflix this coming December.

The series will hit Netflix on December 4, 2020, and we are already here for it. In a trailer shared on Instagram by Shona, the series tells the dark tales of the city of gold. Crime, fighting, and arrests are the order of the day.The series features a star-studded cast including some of Mzansi’s favorite talent; from the likes of, Zolisa Xaluva, Sthembiso Khoza, Abdul Khoza, Tsholo Matshaba Cindy Mahlangu, and the creator himself Shona Ferguson.

Early this year Shona shared a picture posing with the male cast of the show and the TV heartthrobs left many social media users thirsting for them. The Fergusons continue to reinvent themselves as one of Mzansi’s most sought-after TV producers and we are proud of their accomplishments.

In 2011 they launched their production company, Furgeson Films. The company has produced multiple hit series for Mzansi Magic, which includes Rockville, iGazi, The Gift, The Throne, The Herd, The Queen, and The Imposter. The couple often acts in their own productions, for example, Connie played the role of Mavis Mabaso on Rockville and is the female lead in The Queen.

The series comes hot on the heels of Queen Sono and Blood and Water’s success. The series have both been renewed for a second season.

Queen Sono left many disappointed when it ended with only six episodes, which left viewers begging for more. Netflix recently shared the thriller would be returning for a second season.The series features Pearl Thusi, Vuyo Dabula, Sechaba Morojele, Chi Mhende, Loyiso Madinga, Rob Van Vuuren, Kate Liquorish, Khathu Ramabulana, and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, and all of them are expected to return for the highly anticipated season 2.

Blood and Water is also returning back and it seems they have started filming the second season.

The teen series tells a tale of Puleng Khumalo who is investigating the cold case of her older sister, Fikile Bhele who was abducted at birth. Puleng believes that a Parkhurst student Fikile is her sister and she gets herself transferred to that school to investigate the case.
