FORMER MISS SA FINALIST: THARINA BOTES
IOL reports that the former Miss SA finalist Tharina Botes will represent Thailand at Miss World 2023 later this year.
The Miss World Thailand winner was also placed in the Top 12 at Miss South Africa pageant in Pretoria in 2018 the same year Tamaryn Green won the title.
The beauty queen also represented Phuket at Miss Grand Thailand 2019 where she was placed in the Top 10.
Botes also participated at the Miss Universe Thailand 2021 in Pattaya where she was placed as first runner-up and also represented South Africa at Miss International 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

MISS WORLD 2023
The 26-year-old model Tharina Botes will participate at the 71st edition of the Miss World pageant, which will be held in India International Convention and Expo Centre, New Delhi, India on 16 December 2023.
According to an official press release by the company, the decision to choose India is due to the nation’s rich cultural heritage, along with its continuing aim to empower women.
Ms Julia Morley, who is the CEO of Miss World Organisation said in a statement: “I am delighted to announce India as the new home of the 71st Miss World Final! I have had a great affection for India from the first moment I visited this incredible country more than 30 years ago! We cannot wait to share your unique and diverse culture, world class attractions and breathtaking locations with the rest of the world.”
