EVANDER – Locals are still reeling from shock and disbelief over the death of Thandeka Mdeliswa.
She died on Saturday, 5 September at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital.
Best known for her role as Khanya in the SABC1 drama series Ikani, Thandeka was shot at her family home in Evander.

In a statement on Sunday, 6 September the family said: “She was shot in Evander on Thursday, 3 September.
“She was immediately rushed to Evander Hospital, stabilised and airlifted to Witbank after which she was transferred to Steve Biko Academic Hospital as her condition was critical but stable.
