Ex friend of Somizi’s, Thami dish confirmed that he was aware of abuse but denied asking Mohale to go back to Somizi in a statement. Mohale Motaung said on his interview that Thami was aware of the allegations and he called Mohale to his house so that he and Somizi could talk about their issues. However Thami released a statement and said that he never asked Mohale to go back to Somizi.

Thami said that he did facilitate a meeting between Somizi and Mohale following an altercation so that the two could their own side of the situation. Thami said that he did not ask Mohale to go back to his home shared with Somizi or to take Somizi back.
