Bathabise Biyela popularly known as Thabsie, is a South African Investment banker who turned into a musician. She is a singer-songwriter.
Thabsie first worked as an Investment banker, after she graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a degree. She later got into music and left her job to pursue her music career. Thabsie worked as a back up singer for Donald, Proverb, Casper Nyovest and Black Motion.
She gained popularity in 2016, through her collaboration with rapper Kwesta on the hit song “NGiyaz’fela Ngawe”. This song made her noticed and made South Africans know about her singing talent. Thabsie also has a number of well known songs including African queen, Ilula, finally and Ubuyanini.The popular singer is in mourning, she recently shared on her Instagram stories mourning the death of her friend.
