The lawyer of Thabo Bester has revealed that he is receiving unwelcome visits in prison where he is being kept at the moment. After he escaped from Mangaung Correctional Centre, he has not be taken back there, but is being kept at a different facility.

 

 

His lawyer said at the moment, his client is receiving unwelcome visits in prison. It is not clear who are those people who are visiting him and what do they want.

Thabo Bester now has new lawyers after the ones who previously represented him withdrew from the matter citing that they had not been paid.

The issue at hand now is on who is funding Thabo Bester in his legal battle? If the previous lawyers withdrew because there was no money, what then makes the new legal team confident that they will be paid for their services by Thabo Bester.

Lawyer of Thabo Bester has however, refused to divulge the source of Thabo Bester’s funding. He said it is not in his place to tell or to question. All they are doing is simply to represent their client and get paid.

During an interview with a journalist, the lawyer was also questioned about whether or not Thabo Bester was threatening Dr Nandi Magudumana. This comes after the childhood friend of Nandi revealed that she was threatened and that explains why she did what she did.

“This guy had some power over her… she is not a bad person. She just got caught up in a bad situation with someone who led her astray,” said Dr Nandi’s childhood friend.

There is a lot that is happening. Social critics claim that Dr Nandi Magudumana might want to play the victim in her defense. All indications are pointing in that direction.

This week, the other accused who applied for bail will be waiting to hear about the court judgment.
