When photos of Bester and his partner, Celebrity Dr. Nandipha, grocery shopping at Woolworths appeared, the South African people was shocked. Many people came to the conclusion that Bester had escaped from prison when the photographs became widely shared on social media. After conducting an investigation, the police re-arrested Bester.

Thabo Bester allegedly led a luxurious lifestyle while incarcerated, which was discovered through investigations after his escape. He is said to have arranged his prison break with his partner, Dr. Nandipha, through communication. His escape’s reason for happening is yet unknown.
