Terry Pheto’s house is still up for auction. Presidency never blocked the sale

for auction.

This is contrary to social media reports which suggested that the presidency had stepped in to stop the mansion from going under the hammer.

According to social media posts, the SIU allegedly received a “last-minute call” from the Presidency, instructing it not to proceed with the auction.

But the SIU has dismissed all those claims assault baseless accusations.

They singled the tweet out for disseminating fake information without getting any official comment.

The three-bedroom house, complete with two bathrooms, an open-plan dining area as well as a rooftop garden and entertainment area, went under the hammer on 2 March.

When the auction was kicked off, the mansion was priced at R4 million bit it did not attract any takers.

It is stated that written offers have already been received.

On Thursday, the SIU tweeted that after the auction, the auctioneer received written offers for the property, which were being considered.
