Teko Modise’s wife debuts baby picture & reveals his full name

So far, many well known South African celebrities are having babies in 2021. The baby train keeps trucking this year.

Welcoming a baby during the pandemic can be interesting, to say the least. On the 13th of December retired footballer Teko Modise and his wife Koketso Chipane welcomed the birth of their son.

Celebrating Christmas day, Koketso Chipane who happens to be a blogger and a Market Risk Analyst at the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) took Instagram in a beautiful video to share memories prior to giving birth and after the birth of their son. The shared video starts by showing a positive home pregnancy test conforming that she is 2 to 3 weeks pregnant and also a sonogram from the doctor confirming her pregnancy. The beautiful video has Beyonce’s latest hit song “bigger” playing in the background.


In the video the father of the baby, Teko Modise pictured in a hospital can be seen looking through a glass window after the couple welcomed the birth of their son. Furthermore from the shared video we had the opportunity of seeing the baby’s nursery.

Capturing the video Mrs Modise would go to share some interesting details about their son, from his date of birth and the baby’s full name and also revealing that their son is the best gift ever.

Taking to IG, Koketso Chipane would go to reveal that they decided to name their son Kgosi Kano Modise. According to translations Kgosi is a Sesotho name which can be translated to “King”. In the case of Kano we have since had the opportunity to learn that the name is of Japanese origin. According to translations online the name Kano can be translated to, “one’s mascular power, capability”.
