Teko Modise penned a heartfelt message to Dr Irvin Khoza on his 75th birthday

Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Teko Modise has joined the masses of those who are involved in football who have sent their happy birthday wishes to Dr Irvin Khoza on his 75th birthday.


 

 

 

 

“The General” as he is affectionately known as took to his official social media account on Friday, 27 January, where he penned a birthday message to the chairman of Orlando Pirates.

On Friday, Teko Modise took to his Instagram stories where he shared a photo of the chairman of Orlando Pirates Dr Irvin Khoza who was captured wearing a colourful shirt.

As part of his caption, the 2016 CAF Champions League winner with Mamelodi Sundowns penned a heartfelt birthday message to The Iron Duke where he wrote, “Happy birthday to thee person that believed in my abilities waaay more than I did myself, I’m forever grateful and I’m glad I got to tell you that”.

In addition, the former Mamelodi Sundowns jersey number 10 wrote, “My recent meeting with you inginted my soul. Happy birthday to the great”.

When it comes to Teko Modise’s football career, the three time league winner who enjoyed his best playing days at the Chloorkop based outfit in terms of accolades won also plied his trade at Orlando Pirates during his illustrious career which spanned almost two decades.

According to his player profile on German website 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵, the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder who could play as a central midfielder and as a right midfielder enjoyed a successful four year spell at Orlando Pirates between the 2007/08 and 2010/11 seasons.
