Nandi Madida’s stellar performance in Beyonce’s Black Is King, has got her major international recognition from Hollywood A-lister, Taraji P Henson. The multi-talented media personality took to Instagram today to show off her SAMA Award which she physically received on Thursday, 3 September 2020. The video heard her thanking fans for granting her the opportunity to win the prestigious award for the first time, and shared her hopes on receiving more accolades in the future.

Nandi went on to promote her upcoming single, Organic, which is scheduled to drop on Friday, 18 September 2020. Amongst the multitude of praises, the musician received, Taraji dropped in to also share a congratulatory message to her. She stated, “CONGRATS BEAUTIFUL!!! Saw you in #BlackIsKing.”

Nandi’s South African fans couldn’t contain their excitement on the post, and were shocked at the fact that Taraji had found her on social media and had taken the time to leave her a message. Mops Mpho commented with, “Woah wow!! Taraji P Henson… this is a major honour for our Queen Nandi!”. The Hollywood actress is widely known for her iconic role of Cookie Lyon on Empire.

Nandi’s role in Black Is King saw her as one of the many South African and African personalities who featured in Beyonce’s film.
