Award-winning actor Mduduzi Mabaso who is famous for his portrayal of Suffocate Ndlovu on Rhythm City has ended his time with the e.tv soapie. However, many Rhythm City fans were left heartbroken after Suffocate Ndlovu died in his last episode. Mduduzi Mabaso have been with Rhythm City since it began to be played on our tv screens.
The battle between him and character Kulekani Ngobese has been fuming for months and has kept the fans on their toes on what will happen next. Pearl Genaro will shoot Suffocate with three bullets which will be end his stay Rhythm City.
Mabaso will now be playing a “self-made millionaire who moves to Joburg to start a new life” on e.tv’s Imbewu. According to a statement released by e.tv, Mabaso will play the role of Majozi who went to school with Zimele.
Mduduzi Mabaso’s salary ranges from R80 000 to R100 000 per month on Rythm City alone. It is his last episode this season and he will be joining Imbewu where he says he will grow is career at. Most of the fans are disappointed but Mduduzi believes one should not overstay their time to long before they forget that they have to grow as individuals.
Apart from being in TV shows, Mabaso has also starred in various movies among them being Hotel Rwanda in 2004, Catch a Fire of 2006, Meokgo and the Stickfighter in 2006 and Blood Diamond from 2006. Earlier, in 1992, he appeared in a theatre production by the name Divide and Rule.
