Siyasanga Catherine Papu popularly called Siyasanga Papu is a well known actress, entrepreneur, singer and sketch artist from Pretoria, South Africa. She has gained massive recognition for her roles in the TV series Hillside, The Herd and Gomora. She has also earned praise for her appearance in Izintombi Zodwa in 2013. Siyasanga was born in East London,on July 14 1986. Later on she moved to Pretoria, Gauteng where she lived for over 25years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She celebrated her 35th birthday on July 14 2021. Papu developed a passion for cars at the age of 13. She started as a theatre performer. She had her breakout role in the popular South African series, The Herd. She gained massive acclaim for playing the role of Nomathemba in the series. She became a fan favourite and achieved an excellent following for it. Siyasanga Papu is also known for her beautiful singing talent. One of her most recognised releases was tribute to the massacre of mine workers in South Africa in 2012.

Since she gained recognition, she has been featured in several popular South African serials. Some of them include Usindiso and Generations. Siyasanga Papu thrilled viewers of the South African medical drama series Hillside by playing two roles in each season. She gained a lot of praise for her feature in the series. She also has guest starred on several other TV shows including Saints and Sinners and Rhythm City.

Papu also appeared as a recurring character on a couple of shows including Isibaya (where she played the role of Fezeka), and more. Siyasanga Papu’s success in the South African entertainment industry has spotlighted and amassed her a loyal fan base. She is a big inspiration and role model to upcoming plus size actresses and models in the industry. She has broken to many stereo types in the industry and has left her work and talent speak for her.

Siyasanga Papu has a daughter who turned seven years old in 2021. She had her daughter when she was 28. She has shared several photos of them but has never shared any information about her daughter’s father with the public.
