Before the Springboks played against Tonga on Sunday, rugby player, Deon Fourie rushed to Instagram and posted a photo with his wife and children as he shared that he and his daughter, Brinley were looking forward to the pool game.
“Always a privilege to represent South Africa 🇿🇦. Brinley already has her game face on 🤣🤦🏼♂️,” he wrote. It was a good game for the Springboks on Sunday as they made a victorious comeback, following losing the pool game 8- 13 against Ireland in the highly anticipated game two weeks ago. Fourie was pronounced the man of the match after thriving in the role to cover as the hooker, Planet Ruby reported. The 37-year-old played the full 80 minutes game against Tonga, however, the Springboks coaches decided to shift him into the openside flanker role for the final 20 minutes.
“It was a good game… We expected a tough game. I’ve played hooker earlier in my career, so it wasn’t too bad; it went well… I’m glad,” Fourie was quoted as saying.TAKE A LOOK AT SOME REACTIONS FROM SOCIAL MEDIA USERS BELOW…
