South African actress Kim Cloete has joined etvScandal

Kim Cloete is a South African actress and businesswoman best known as the host of the SABC3 daytime talk show LunchBox, from 2008-2009.

 
She is also known as a presenter for the kykNET shows Zing! and Ontbytsake, and for her role as Billie, Jacob’s lover, in the third season of the M-Net drama series Jacob’s Cross, in 2008.

She also stars in the SABC2 variety comedy show Colour TV, in 2011.

Other television series she has acted in include Plek van die Vleisvreters and Villa Rosa (both on kykNET), Wild at Heart for the BBC and Hallmark, and the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan.

She has been a continuity presenter for both M-Net and kykNET and was also a presenter on Craz-e, e.tv’s daily programming block for children.

In addition to acting Cloete also runs a production company, Long Island TV, with her husband and business partner Rowan Cloete.

Their productions include Stook!, a media review show that has aired on DStv’s Afrikaans music channel MK since 2004, and a children’s show for a yet-to-be-announced DStv channel.

The couple also own luxury self-catering apartments in Melrose North and Rosebank, catering to international clients.

In 2010 Kim joined the main cast of the SABC2 sitcom as Alice.
