South African actress Sophie Ndaba has been trending in the news after it was reported that the bank had repossessed her Johannesburg mansion. The rumours had it that she failed to service her bond with the bank and had her house listed as collateral, so the bank was selling it. She was in the news after the actress drastically lost weight, and it was revealed to her fans that she was suffering from sugar diabetes. When she bought her mansion for R2.2 million rand, the actress who made news was rumoured to have failed to pay her monthly instalments. This has led the bank to put her house on auction and sell it to the public, leaving her homeless. The actress blasted a Sunday World journalist who covered the article and called out to check her facts before reporting.

In the video, Sophie Ndaba addressed Sunday World and their journalist, Sphe, whom she called stupid. She addressed the issue and said that she had sold the house to a property agency and that the shortfall would be between her and her bank. The writer who had said Sophie was ailing was replied and told that the actress was fit as she showed off her body, asking if she looked like she was sick in any way. Lastly, the actress asked journalists to leave her and her family alone as she tried to rewrite her life.

Sophie has lost another mansion to the bank before
In 2019, news also broke out that the actress lost her first home after failing to pay her monthly instalments for four months. The actress even confirmed that she had rented the house to other people who used it as offices, and they were the ones failing to pay her for her home. She has also been taken to court for failure to pay back her debt of R151 178 to KLM Setati.
