Sonia Mbele woke up to the terrible news that her son, Donell Mbele, is being accused of physical abuse by his girlfriend and baby mama. The worst nightmare for a mother! Donell Mbele and his mother, Sonia, are both getting a lot of attention on social media after Reokeditswe Makete showed proof of the abuse she says her baby daddy did to her. She gave receipts, showed pictures of her bruised face, and even shared their private messages. Sonia Mbele, whose name is linked to this scandal, said in a statement that her son will face his demons and go to therapy.

“When I woke up this morning, I found myself in a different world, one I thought I’d left behind long ago. “From the time I was 17 until I was 26, I was with a man who hurt me physically, mentally, and emotionally,” she said at the beginning of her statement. She explains that she said this at the beginning because she wants people to see her point of view as a mother and a woman who has also been abused by a family member. She then says that her son’s actions are wrong and that she doesn’t agree with abuse. “I don’t stand for, support, or agree with such a point of view.
In the beginning of my career, I talked a lot about these problems to encourage other women in similar situations. Sonia then talked about Reokeditswe Makete, saying that she took her into her home and treated her like a daughter. She said that nothing has changed between her and her son, even though she made these shocking accusations against him. “I not only took Reokeditswe Makete into my home, but I also treated her like a daughter and helped her with her career in the entertainment industry. I want her to know that I still love and support her.
“As a mother, I wish she had come to me to tell me what was going on, because it broke my heart to find out about it on social media. I’ve always been there for you, and I’ve always helped you,” she said. “I now know I should have taken preventive steps like counselling and/or child therapy a lot sooner, but as African single mothers, we sometimes make the mistake of assuming things will work out for the best and hoping for the best.
In the meantime, some things we did in the past can affect generations to come.” Then, Sonia said she wanted her son Donell to face the music. “With that said, Donell will face his demons, take responsibility for his actions, and let the law take its course. I won’t raise my son to be like his father. “In the end, rehab, therapy, and inner healing will win,” she said, also thanking South Africans.
