Media character and big name culinary expert Somizi Mhlongo’s year is finishing with a bang.

His book Dinner at Somizi’s: I am Not A Chef has been named in the Celebrity Chef World class at the global Gourmand Awards 2022.

The star took to Instagram to share the declaration and expressed gratitude toward Mzansi for the help he got.

Somizi was chosen from 1,558 sections from 227 nations.

Originator and leader of the honors, Edouard Cointreau, said: “The honors are free and open to all to take part, enormous or little, exchange distributer or organization or independently publishing. We have effectively seen an increment of 20% over a year ago. Considerably more critical is the expansion is around the world. The ascent in Latin America and Africa is stupendous.”

In a press proclamation shipped off TshisaLIVE recently, Somizi communicated pride about his book securing a No 1 hit spot in SA.

“When assembling this cook book I needed to make something genuinely real for my fans. I needed to show South Africans that it is so natural to add ‘moxie’ to regular suppers.”
