Somizi Mhlongo’s baby mama is Palesa Madisakwane. Palesa is a talented actress known for her roles in soap operas such as Isibaya, Generations and Ashes to Ashes. In 2010, Palesa switched lanes from acting to TV host and news anchor.

Palesa and Somizi were in a relationship in 1995 which ended after Somizi publicly came out as gay. Their relationship ended when Palesa, who was only 20 years old, was already pregnant with Bahumi.

Palesa Madisakwane later got married to Jakes Mocuminyane and together she had two more children Thuto and Khumo Mocuminyane. Unfortunately, their relationship ended in divorce in 2014.

Somizi and Palesa have maintained a close relationship over the years despite parting ways as a couple and they continue to co-parent their daughter together.

In 2021, Somgaga surprised his daughter when he gifted her with one of his priciest wigs which he had worn on several occasions on SA Idols.

Somizi is clearly proud of his daughter and often gushes on her, applauding her acting skills and celebrating her big and small achievements. When Bahumi graduated, Somzi was over the moon celebrating his daughter as the first person in his family to graduate from college.
