The entertainer and former Idols SA judge celebrated his 49th in a lavish style. Despite a bad year Somizi Mhlongo has had but he did not allow that to stand in his way of having a wonderful birthday.

This was his first birthday without his husband, Mohale Motaung as the two are going through the divorce process.

Somizi lost all his jobs this year since the news of abte allegations against his estranged husband, Mohale Motaung. He was first suspended at Metro FM but ended up being shown the door by the SABC.

Not so long after Metro FM gave him a break to sort out his life, Mnet also cut ties with him from being the judge of Idols SA.

He was also shown the door from the famous sneaker company, Batu.

Somizi had to start from the scratch and pick himself up as life had to go on.

Five months from that unfortunate incident, he seems to be doing so well now as he had a lavish birthday celebration that was held in Pretoria in the A- list places.

His birthday was on Thursday, the 23rd of December where he was turning 49 years. It was attended by the who’s who, which includes well known celebrities like his best friend forever, Vusi Nova whom they recently reconciled after having a heated argument.

Other guests includes the rapper, Cassper Nyovest, Royal AM President and businesswoman, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, Judith Sephuma, just to mention a few. It was just a star studded guests gathered to celebrate with Somgaga.

They were wearing glitzy in silky outfits as it was the dress theme. His guests ensured that they do exactly as it is specified in the dress code.

You could see from the videos that were posted online through all their social media pages that indeed fun was had. Somgaga pulled all the stops to enjoy his birthday.

All the guests there were having the time of their lives, enjoying with Somizi on his special day.

What caught the attention of many, was when MaMkhize gave Somizi the “amazing” gift. She gave him a stash of cash. MaMkhize can be seen in the videos putting lot of R100 notes on stash inside Somizi’s mouth.

Mohale was not seen anywhere nor did he say anything to wish Somizi a happy birthday.
