This year has been tough for Kelly Khumalo with some verbal attacks on the social media, people accusing her for killing the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain Senzo Meyiwa.

 

Few days ago, award winning artist, Kelly Khumalo was dropped from the line-ups to maintain the integrity of their events as the trial into the October 2014 murder of her then-boyfriend and soccer star Senzo Meyiwa continues in the North Gauteng High Court.

Now it has been reported that she is amongst big winners at Basadi in music awards.Afro pop-artist of the year was awarded to Kelly Khumalo for her song ‌Akathintwa.

The second instalment of the much-anticipated annual Basadi in Music Awards occurred at Joburg Theatre on Saturday evening.
