South African musician Emtee — real name Mthembeni Ndevu — is once again trending. The young rapper was once upon one of the best rappers the country has to offer but today, is a shell of his former self. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by social media users who have expressed their sadness after watching Emtee in a new video buying peanuts from a local street vendor.

 

 

Many who watched the video were concerned that he had been under the influence of drug or substance.It’s no secret that things haven’t exactly been going spectacular for local rapper Mthembeni Ndevu — stage name Emtee.

The musician shot to fame almost instantly but soon started making headline for things like woman abuse, drug abuse and even showing his private parts on a live stream.

While he has been working on some new music and making his social media presence known.This hasn’t always been a good thing for the rapper who faces constant scrutiny from his fans who are worried he’ll never make it back to the top.

“Emtee is slowly becoming a phara, it’s so sad to watch man,” one fan wrote after watching Emtee supposedly “support” a local vendor.

In the clip, the Roll Up hitmaker can be seen asking people to support a local street vendor who sells nuts.
