In many cultures, turning 21 is an auspicious milestone, marking entry into the full responsibilities of adulthood. The Age of Majority. The beginnings of showing up beyond self-interest, finger pointing and hand wringing to take care of one’s own business and competently care for others.

 

 

 

 

 

Siya Kolisi’s younger brother Liyema has recently turned 21 years old and his family made it a point that they make his day extra special. Liyema and his younger sister Liphelo had been through so much before they could unite with their brother Siya Kolisi. Since 2014, Liyema and Liphelo, children of Siya’s mother who died in 2009, have been part of the Kolisi household, after five years in orphanages and foster care in Port Elizabeth.

Ever since, the siblings have been living happily. As Liyema celebrated his 21st birthday, his family decided to rock “a night in Paris” theme. They took some family pictures and Siya shared some of the pictures on his Instagram account, leaving many of his followers gushing over his beautiful, while wishing Liyema a happy 21st birthday.
