Lerato Moipone Molapo best known as Lira, is a South African singer. Her name translates to “love” in Sesotho and she speaks four languages.She was joined and raised in Daveyton Benoni Gauteng Province in South Africa. Her date of birth is 14 March 1979, she is currently 43 years old as of May 2022.

 
A few weeks ago it was reported that Lira have suffered from stroke while performing in Germany.The news of her demise was reported on her IG page.On her recent post on Ig page she wrote a heartfelt message to her followers assuring them that she is recovering well although her speech is still impaired she is making progress.She uploaded her beautiful picture and captioned ” Dear fam, Thank you for your overwhelming love, support and prayers. I am recovering well.Physically I have been unaffected, I am strong and healthy. The stroke has unfortunately affected my speech, however I am making lots of progress every day. I will be taking some time to focus on my recovery. Please keep your prayers coming, I can’t wait to be back soon.All my love”.Her post was flooded with words of encouragement from her followers.
