Simphiwe has a special connection with her mother and father. “Meet my parents. My mother taught me how to love, and my father taught me how to be loved. I will always be grateful for this,” she wrote on Instagram in October 2018. Her parents thought they would give birth to a boy, so they chose the name Simphiwe, which means “we have been gifted”.
