Simphiwe Ngema, also known as Simz Ngema, is a well-known figure in South Africa. Dumi Masilale, the star of Rhythm City, died in 2017 just months after she wed him. Simphiwe later gained recognition as a presenter, actor, singer, MC, choreographer, and reality television personality.
Simz claims that her parents supported her goals, but she attributes the start of her career to Duma Ndlovu, the originator of Muvhango. In 2016, he had offered her to appear as the lead in his play, The Game.
Simphiwe Ngema, an actress and media figure, has clarified the situation and shared her motivation for visiting Thabo Bester in jail.
Ngema claimed she visited the convicted rapist in April 2018 because Bester had identified himself to her and other people as TK Motsepe at the time and had claimed to work in the entertainment sector.
“I was booked for meetings and significant events that he seemed to be able to organize, and he appeared to be highly connected. I have never received payment to this day for some of the events that 21st century scheduled me for, according to the statement.
Ngema claimed to have only visited the prison once to seek information, and she has documentation to back up her claims. She claimed that because he owed her money, this was a challenging moment in her life.
“I’ve been extremely open about everything to those that have been investigating and I have nothing to hide. I am not the person that went there on a regular basis nor was I the last person to visit before his escape.”
This caused a stir on social media with some claiming she should be arrested and others think she knows more than she is saying.
While some claim Mamkhize deserves an apology because people accused her for visiting Thabo Bester.
