‘She’s at peace’: Traci Braxton dead at 50

Traci Braxton, a reality TV star and Toni Braxton’s younger sister, has died. She was 50 years old at the time. Kevin Surratt, Braxton’s husband, confirmed his wife’s death on Saturday after a private battle with cancer.

“We have reached to the point where we must inform the public that our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory after a year of discreetly undergoing a course of therapy for Esophageal cancer,” Surratt told TMZ. Braxton made an appearance on Braxton Family Values, the family’s reality show. She was an actress who acted in films such as There’s a Stranger in My House and Chaaw. She was best recognized for her role in Sinners Wanted.

Furthermore, the reality TV star had a hit song, Last Call, which reached #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Toni, Towanda, and Trina were featured in her song Broken Things. Toni issued a statement on Twitter confirming her sister’s death. “It is with great sadness that we inform you of the demise of our sister, Traci,” she wrote.
